There has been a huge amount of support in the field where we have been reaching District 6 voters! So many folks are committing to vote for Matt as well as requesting yard signs.

Also, the fundraising reports show Matt ahead with fundraising and with cash on hand (except for Wiley, who doesn’t count to me because he loaned himself 40k). Anyone can loan himself / herself money, but the real honest and charismatic public figures (few and far between) can fundraise the money needed to pay for their campaign through supporters and developing a following in the community. Matt has done this. He is a true consensus builder and leader. Matt Stillwell is clearly the best choice to represent District 6 and work with 9 other council members + mayor to make city wide decisions.

The Matt Stillwell campaign for Austin City Council will continue to pound the pavement and … everything is AWESOME.

Matt Stillwell and Jimmy Flannigan were the only District 6 Austin City Council candidates at the Austin Energy candidate forum tonight for Districts 6 & 10.

Matt Stillwell has already knocked on thousands of doors over the summer, but he did it differently. Instead of wearing his own campaign t-shirt, he sported shirts of the small local business, organizations, and events that helped shape Austin to become what it is today.
Matt also uploaded all of the questionnaires that he answered from all of special interests groups in Austin.

How’s that for transparency? Check out all of his answers, ideas, and solutions here:

My favorite Matt quote from the forum:

“When I found out my third child was going to be a son, knew that I would one day have a boy band, so I am very invested in making sure the Austin music community is still successful in ten years, so my kids can support me.”

It was a joke, if you didn’t know. :) he used the second 1/2 minute seriously answering the question.
